Whatsapp Templates
WhatsApp message templates are specific message formats that businesses use to send out notifications or customer care messages to people that have opted in to notifications. Messages can include appointment reminders, shipping information, issue resolution or payment updates.
To create a template message, go to the Growth Tools section
and click Create
And provide the following information:
template name (must be unique)
account (you must first connect in the Channels section according to the instructions WhatsApp connection - en )
category of messages (more details can be found at the link Template Categorization - WhatsApp Business Platform - Documentation - Meta for Developers )
language (the language of the template text must match the language selected in the settings)
Header, one of the suggested ones (optional). Only 1 variable can be specified in the header.
body - template text
footer - text at the bottom of the template (optional)
you can add up to 3 regular buttons or one URL button. Only one of these two types of buttons can be used at a time.
Please note that for a button with a link, the connection from the editor does NOT work
For each variable used, you must provide an example of it.
Once you have provided all the required information, click the Save button at the top of the page. Every time the template is updated, it will be checked again by Facebook.
After creating a template, you can see its status.
If a template is declined, hover over the status to see a description of the error.
Templates can be edited (category, header, body and footer only) and deleted (they are also deleted from Business Manager)
To send a template from a funnel, compose a message, go to WhatsApp channel mode and tap +Template
After selecting a template, a message with buttons will be automatically created. You can also click on the name and go to the template settings.
When sending a broadcast on WhatsApp, pay attention to the following settings. If you need to send messages outside the 24-hour window, select the second option. The template message itself must be selected in the mailing editor.
You can also import and download a database of your customers' phone numbers, and send them mailings using template messages. To do this, you need to prepare a .csv file with columns:
id - client phone number in international format (required)
tag - tag name (for convenience of sending mailings using this tag)
