Managing channels and groups in Telegram

This integration allows Smart Sender to manage your channels or groups, perform certain actions depending on the events in these chats.

In order to manage a user in a group/channel, he must be a contact in Smart Sender.

To connect the integration, go to the Integrations section in the console.

Click connect.

And paste your bot token. After a successful connection, the integration will display the username of the connected bot. You can see an example of creating a Telegram bot here: Telegram connection

You need to create a new bot to connect. It must not be used in channels or connected anywhere else!

You can change the token for the bot and view statistics by groups and channels by clicking the settings button.

Click refresh to enter a new token for the bot.

Click on a group or channel to view extended information on the channel/group.

You will have access to a list of contacts added to the channel / group, as well as a history of events with contacts.

In order to manage subscribers, you must add the bot as an administrator to a group or channel. Click on group/channel settings and select add user.

Find your bot by entering it in the search bar @username

The bot can manage only those users who were added to the channel/group after the bot was added.

For a channel, you will immediately be prompted to make it an administrator; for a group, you need to go to the settings and assign administrator rights to the bolt.

You can leave the default rights settings unchanged.
